Relief for the neck

Cervical Traction.

Cervical traction gently eases the neck apart to take pressure off compressed discs and pinched nerves. We deliver it on the same computer-controlled Triton DTS® system we use for spinal decompression — simply applied to the neck.

Gentle cervical traction for neck pain in Bradenton, FL
Take the pressure off your neck.

Hours at a screen, an old injury, or a worn cervical disc can leave the neck compressed — squeezing discs and irritating the nerves that branch into your shoulders and arms. Cervical traction gently lengthens the neck to ease that pressure.

We use the Chattanooga Triton DTS® — the same programmable traction system as our spinal decompression — with slow, gentle pull patterns designed to feel like comfortable, hands-on traction. You simply lie back and relax.

By easing the space between the cervical vertebrae, traction can relieve neck pain and stiffness, headaches that start in the neck, and the numbness or tingling of a pinched nerve — all without drugs or surgery.

Honest note: like decompression, this works gradually, over a course of gentle sessions — not in a single visit. We’ll reassess as you go and tell you honestly how it’s helping.

How we practice

We’re not trying to keep you here forever.

Dr. Moore’s goal is simple: find the problem, build a plan, get you feeling well and active — then clear you to go live your life. You’re the one who feels the difference, so we check in on how you’re responding and adjust the plan around what you tell us.
A plan with an endpoint
We treat what needs treating, get you better, then clear you. You’re here as long as you need to be — and not a day longer.
Wellness on your terms
Feeling great? Go enjoy it. Occasional check-ins — monthly, or every few months — are welcome if they help you stay feeling good. Never required.
Not improving? We dig deeper
We don’t repeat the same treatment without progress. If you’re not responding, we refer out — for imaging (X‑ray, MRI, CT, ultrasound) or to the right specialist — to find out why.

Cervical traction FAQ

Good questions.

Is cervical traction the same as spinal decompression?
It’s the same idea and the same Triton DTS® system — just applied to the neck instead of the low back, with gentle, programmable pull patterns.
Does it hurt?
No — it’s gentle, and most people find it relaxing. The pulls ease on and off slowly, with rest built in.
What does cervical traction help with?
Neck pain and stiffness, cervical disc pressure, pinched nerves (with arm numbness or tingling), and headaches that start in the neck.
How many sessions will I need?
Like decompression, it works gradually over a course of sessions rather than in one visit. We reassess honestly as you go.
Is it safe?
For most people, gentle cervical traction is very safe. Dr. Moore reviews your history and any imaging first and tailors the program to you.
