A chiropractic adjustment restores motion to joints that have become stiff or restricted — easing pressure on nearby nerves so you move and feel better. At Two Palms, Dr. Christy Moore adjusts gently, with both hands-on and low-force Activator techniques, tailored to you.

When a spinal joint stops moving the way it should, the muscles around it tighten and nearby nerves can get irritated — the recipe for back pain, neck pain, headaches, and that ‘stuck’ feeling. An adjustment is a quick, controlled movement that restores that motion and takes the pressure off.
Dr. Moore is Activator Proficiency Rated, so she can adjust with a small handheld instrument using gentle, low-force impulses — a great option if you’re nervous about the traditional ‘crack,’ or for kids and seniors.
Every visit starts with listening. Dr. Moore looks at how you move, where you’re restricted, and what’s actually driving the pain — then chooses the approach that fits your body and your comfort level.
We’ll be honest, too: adjustments are powerful for mechanical, joint, and nerve-related pain, and they work best as part of a plan — not a one-time miracle. We’ll tell you what to realistically expect.
A real conversation and exam — your history, how you move, and what’s actually causing the pain.
Hands-on or low-force Activator, matched to your comfort. Most adjustments take only moments.
We tell you what to expect and how often — and reassess as you improve, never on autopilot.

An add-on, when it helps
Some necks want length, not pressure. The Y-Strap is a soft strap that cradles the base of your skull so Dr. Moore can apply a smooth, straight pull along your neck — traction along the long axis of your spine, with no twisting. Think of it as a hands-on cousin of the decompression table: it gently eases the space between vertebrae open, helps tight neck and upper-back muscles let go, and often brings a real sense of release.
It’s an add-on, not the main event. Dr. Moore reaches for it when it fits — a stiff, compressed-feeling neck, or as a finishing stretch alongside your adjustment — and leaves it out when it doesn’t. Because the motion is straight and controlled, with no rotation, many people find it more comfortable than a traditional twisting adjustment. Like everything here, it’s used by judgment — only when it’s the right call for your spine.
